Partner Team Ministry Summary
The Prayer Partner (PP) Team of the 1st Baptist Church of Shepherd was created to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many as possible with the FOCUS on Prayer. It is made up of ALL the members of the church and their families by default. It will also be made up from local businesses (staff & families), and visitors (and their families) as they provide information thru the visitor prayer request. ALL information collected by the church and its ministries is held in STRICT confidentiality.
The "PP Team" will be organizing "Prayer Groups" based on membership activity within and outside the church. Prayer Groups will start by mirroring the church ministries and the connection groups within FBC Shepherd church.
The PP Team Membership Registry (online Church Directory) will be made from the church membership directory and multiple ministry directories maintained manually. The PP Team Membership Registry will be used to keep track of personal information given to the PPT during the Prayer Request process. It shall be collected from ministry manual reports and applied to a PPT database.
The database will be used to filter prayer requests and praise reports received. In addition, the database will be used to identify PPT members who have not shown up at church functions. PPT management can follow up by email or phone with members to see if there are any needs including prayer that the member might need.
Information collected by this church ministry will be held confidential by the church ministry and will not be sold or disclosed to anyone outside of this ministry.

Benefits Of A “Prayer Partnering” Team
LET‘S TALK ABOUT BENEFITS OF PRAYER PARTNERING Most people usually pray only as a last result when all else fails. Example: You pray to God only after you get the test results from your doctor giving you bad news. You pray to God for the doctor’s to provide a medical healing. This is not wrong, but there is another way. If you participate in a FBC, “Prayer Partner” group. Example: You are talking to a prayer partner group member and you are discussing that you have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. You decide to submit a prayer request about the doctor visit. After your prayer submission to a prayer group, the whole “Prayer Partner Team” starts praying for you. You go to the doctor and you have the testing done. Meanwhile, you are still being prayed for daily by the team. The test results come in. Results are, nothing is wrong with you. COMPONENTS TO PROPER PRAYER 1st - Praise & Thanksgiving 2nd - Petition for Needs or Wants Remember, Jesus promises to meet ALL our needs, not our wants. Jesus will consider our wants if we pray, in “His Will”. We also need to be following Him in ALL things we do daily. Jesus will fill our lives will enormous blessings and grace if we are working to expand His ministry and following Him. MORAL OF STORY Pray correctly, Pray specifically, and Pray in a timely manner to get BEST results. 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing." 2 Timothy 1:3, I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day."
